Typical Service

A typical Sunday Morning Worship service at Race Street Baptist Church usually follows as such:

– The pastor opens with greetings, announcements or a missionary update
– A man from the church will open with a singing a hymn and then reading a chapter from the Bible
– Our song leader will lead us in several traditional Baptist hymns of worship
– The pastor (or special speaker during special events) will preach and teach the main message
– After the preaching, we generally close with another hymn and the service is dismissed with prayer
– After the service, we have many people that stay to fellowship and eat lunch together in the dining hall downstairs

Services generally last for 1 hour – 1.5 hours
