GIBBERISH SPEAKING IN CHURCH? – NOT GOOD   The modern tongues movement, with its associated speaking in an unknown tongue or gibberish, is not supported by the Bible. This early church gift of the Holy Spirit was an actual language or dialect. Those who had the gift could speak in a language they never had to go to school to learn. It was a revelatory gift whereby God revealed His will to non-Hebrew or Greek speaking people until the Bible was completed. It was a Spiritual gift along with prophecy and knowledge that would cease after “that which is perfect (the Bible) is come.” See I Corinthians 13:8-11. Well, the Bible is here and tongues have ceased. This modern gibberish is not of God. We will be studying scripture (I Corinthians 12, 13, 14) about this movement in our Sunday evening service for a few weeks. Come on out and learn what the Bible says about Tongues. Sun.
