There are many spiritual leaders within Protestantism and Catholicism who believe that God originally created matter billions of years ago and since then has allowed evolution with its trial and error, death and fossilization to perform His plans and purposes. This notion called Theistic Evolution, is an attempt by Christians to accommodate Creation with modern science. In so doing, Christianity loses the Biblical foundation it must have to give credence to the Gospel. If the Genesis account cannot be trusted to give us an accurate account of our origin, then how can we trust Genesis to give us the foundational truths regarding the first sin, resultant penalty of death and God’s remedy, the shedding of innocent blood, ultimately accomplished through Christ on the cross? We believe in the six 24 hour days of Creation.
